Tri for Life Triathlon
On Sep 21st 2008 Tri For Life are organising a Combined Charities Challenge Triathlon (400m swim, 20k cycle, 5k run). This will be held at Eton College’s Boating Lake at Dorney, near Windsor. The logistics of the day are being handled by Human Race, one of the UK’s leading organisers of Triathlon events.
This will be a substantial fundraising event with a target of raising in excess of £200,000 with the monies being spread amongst a number of Charities, including: Rays of Sunshine; Great Ormond Street Hospital; Teenage Cancer Trust; World Jewish Relief; MTV Staying Alive Aids Foundation and Maccabi GB.
People are being encouraged to enter either as individual participants (completing all three disciplines) or as a relay team (whether corporate, a group of friends or even families). Funds are being raised through a combination of entry fees and sponsorship. A dedicated website has been set up which contains full details of the event as well as allowing people to register on-line, this can be found at www.triforlife.co.uk. Alternatively you can download an application form below and send it in to Tri for Life. When registering on the website, be sure to answer the question 'Where did you hear about the event' with 'Maccabi'.
