The 4th Community Fun Run, managed by Maccabi GB, was a huge success breaking all previous records!

Community Fun Run Breaks All Records

A record breaking 26 charities were involved on the day: Camp Simcha, Chai Cancer Care, Chana, CST, Emunah, Ezer Mizion, GIFT, The GM Trust, Hadassah, Jami, JBCS, Jewish Blind & Disabled, Jewish Deaf Association, JCD, Jewish Care, Kisharon, Maccabi GB, Magen David Adom, No Surrender, Norwood, Oasis of Peace, UJIA, WIZO.uk, Youth Aliyah Child Rescue, Zaka and Zichron Menachem.

1,000 runners and 1,000 spectators attended making it the biggest one to date on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far!

Early estimates show we have beaten last year's fundraising total of £100,000 throughout all the charities which is a fantastic achievement.

People took part in an array of outfits including a dog and a cow - surprisingly enough, they were running the 10k!

New for this year was the 1km fun run which was fantastic as all those who are unable to complete the 5/10k had their chance to participate.

Event organiser Maccabi GB's Daniel Morris said 'The sun shone on what was the best Community Fun Run to date! To see so many communal charities working together is unique and this event really is one of a kind. All the participants had smiles on their faces as they came across the finish line and the atmosphere really was electric. The event just gets better and better and planning is already underway to beat this year's record breaking event in 2011 so watch this space!'
