Maccabi GB Futsal Match Day 2, Swindon Arena

MACCABI GB 5 v READING 1 (Adam Joselyn, Lee Bibring, Jonathan Green, David Leiwy & Jamie Wolfson)
MACCABI GB 2 v GLOUCESTER FUTSAL REVOLUTION 2 (Jonathan Green and Russell Goldstein)
MACCABI GB 1 v KAUNAS 3 (David Leiwy)
MACCABI GB 3 v PLYMOUTH UNIVERSITY 4 (David Leiwy x2 and Jonathan Green)

Manager Jonathan Cohen commented on the day, "It was a disappointing day for Maccabi GB on Match Day 2 only picking up 4 points but I have nothing but the greatest admiration for the players today. With only 3 subs (and one in our last game) their efforts and commitment cannot be disputed.

"At various stages we played in a superb fashion prompting the director of the league to tell us that we were the best futsal team in the league and that he would be recommending the England coaches to come and watch our future games.

"Overall I am extremely proud of the team's achievements so far but this emotion is tinged with a feeling of frustration knowing that if we had the full squad from Vienna playing in both match days that we would stand a very good chance of winning this league.

"It's not all over yet and we will be aiming for a clean sweep in Match Day 3 which takes place in Plymouth on March 4th. All support will be most welcome on the day!
