Streetwise Manchester Safety Card Launch
Greater Manchester Police Assistant Chief Constable Terry Sweeney helped launch the Safety Card Project with Streetwise Project Manager Ashley Lerner at King David High School in Manchester.
The Safety Card Project which has been funded in Manchester by Greater Manchester Police will see 3000 travel card holders, safety booklets and security cards distributed to all young people Streetwise engage, with the pupils of King David High School being the first to receive it.
Streetwise Project Manager Ashley Lerner stated the benefits of this project are the "user-friendly and informative messages about personal safety and development which will give advice to young people on hot topics including, travelling on transports, being safe on the internet and the effects and risks of drugs and alcohol."
Ashley Lerner stated "It is clear Streetwise and the Greater Manchester Police have similar goals when it comes to ensuring that young people feel safe and secure when carrying out their day to day lives."
