Youth Development
Maccabi GB is strongly committed to youth development. The recently rebranded Streetwise Leadership Programme aims to train young people to be effective and competent Madrichim (Leaders) in their local youth club or community. Young people start the course in school year 10, and develop their skills and knowledge over three National weekends a year.
Our courses also contain a heavy concentration on the exploration of Jewish identity and opportunities to learn and discover Israel. Chanichim(participants) progress each year on to a higher course, and can continue with the Programme until they graduate as Bogrim (graduates) in school year 13. Following this, chanichim are invited to become tutors on the courses.
As well as this unique opportunity for leadership development, madrichim can also gain experience and use there skills on any number of the national and international camps and events held by Maccabi GB, such as Israel tours, our Annual Torch Relay, track and field events, CKO and much much more.
