An announcement from Maccabi GB Southern Football League Chairman, David Wolff
The season is progressing well and all the matches are being played.

The petrol crisis did disrupt a couple of games but there does not seem to be any problems so far with COVID.

On the administrative front, I am aware that there have been difficulties with both WHOLE GAME SYSTEM and FULL TIME and the FA are aware of the problems. I attended a Council Meeting of the LONDON FA the other night and this subject was dealt with in great detail and our representatives made it quite clear that it was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and must not happen again in the future. These sentiments were joined by several COUNTY Football Associations upend down the country,

Some of the games are being videoed and there is also presence by the press and we are getting good exposure in the JEWISH CHRONICLE and also photographs on our own League Republic website.

Sadly, one of the teams in the Premier Division withdrew leaving only SEVEN teams and this league will now play each other three times. This is not satisfactory and will need addressing for future seasons.

There have been several really competitive matches with unexpected results.

All matches have been covered by accredited Referees and as always I ask that they, as well as with each other, show RESPECT because we are registered with the FA as a RESPECT league.

The discipline has been reasonable and it is monitored by myself all the time. However there have been one or two serious cases that are being investigated by the LONDON FA.

Let us hope that the good weather continues and we can continue to enjoy our football.
