London Interfaith Fun Run - Highlights video This summer we held the first ever London Interfaith Fun Run in partnership with The Faith & Belief Forum, uniting different communities and faiths from across London and beyond. We are excited to share the highlights video from this incredible day with you and we hope you agree it captures memories from a great event.
Maccabi GB Interschool Sports Tournament - Wednesday 3rd November This week we held our mixed Year 3&4 Interschool Sports Football tournament. 14 teams of 120 participants from eight Jewish Primary Schools took part in a 5-a-side Football tournament. Schools were placed into three groups with the teams playing against one another in a group format. Winners of group one and group two played against eachother with group three playing against the best runner up. The crowning winners of the tournament were Rimon Primary School A.
Leadership by Streetwise 2021/22 Don't forget Leadership by Streetwise registrations are still open. This unique Sports Leadership programme is delivered by Streetwise.
The programme is accredited by Sports Leaders UK and it will give the qualifications and skills needed to lead sports sessions, coach teams and run sporting events, inspiring the community through your passion for sport.
Sports Leaders UK's Level 1, 2 and 3 will stand out on your UCAS form and impress future employers.
Mitzvah Day - 21st November 2021 This Mitzvah Day Maccabi GB have teamed up with All Aboard. We are encouraging you to donate your unwanted sports kit and equipment.
The Inter-charity quiz of the year - Tuesday 14th December The annual Maccabi GB inter-charity quiz returns this year online! We are inviting you to get a team together in person or virtually and join us for the quiz of the year. Which charity will be crowned this year's winners?
Teams of 2-12 people, £5 per person
A percentage of the proceeds will be awarded to the charities who finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Maccabiah Open Futsal Prize competition The Maccabiah Open Futsal Squad are looking for your help. Maccabi London Lions U18 FA Youth Cup run ends with defeat to MK Dons On Tuesday night Maccabi London Lions U18’s travelled to Milton Keynes Stadium and played in the 1st proper round of the FA Youth cup for the first time in their history. Despite the final score being 5-0 to MK Dons, the boys did themselves and the club proud with a great performance as they were only 1-0 down till the 70th minute but then in the last 20mins MK Dons supreme fitness made a big difference and they scored some late goals.
An announcement from Maccabi GB Junior Football League (MGBJFL) Chairman, Marc Levy Held at our two high quality venues, there were 15 fixtures this week competing across the U7, U8, U9, U10 age groups. We have also welcomed an additional squad since the season began.
We would like to thank the competing teams; Hendon United, HMH, North West London Jets, Brondesbury Park Rangers and HGS for their continued support and wish all teams and players the ongoing best of luck for the season.
An announcement from Manchester Jewish Soccer League Chairman, Paul Rose Last weekend saw 2 finely balanced ties in the Round 1 of the Tony Cohen Cup. 1st Legs saw Leeds Maccabi edging Maccabi Mcr 3rd 3-2 whilst Haroldeans travelled to Manchester and inflicted a first defeat over Reich winning 3-1. The 2nd legs will be played shortly.
This Sunday sees one league match between Reich and BPR. At next week’s meeting we will be making the draw for the Northern Section of the Peter Morrison National Trophy.
