We are delighted to start announcing Squads for the 21st Maccabiah Games happening this Summer. We are starting off with our U16, U18 and Open Netball Squads.
Maccabi GB double page spread feature - January This month's main article features a piece written on 'Celebrating the power of our supportive community' by MIchelle Janes, Co-Chief Executive of the JLC. We have a feature written by Jami on the 'one minute for Mental Health' campaign which was part of Jami's Mental Health Awareness Shabbat which took place on January 7th-9th. We also have a piece from Jewish Care on 'Digging it at Jewish Care's Sandrigham' in celebration of Tu Bishvat. There is also an article on the launch of the Yellow Candle Project.

An announcement from Maccabi GB Junior Football League (MGBJFL) Chairman, Marc Levy Held at our two high quality venues, there were 15 fixtures this week competing across the U7, U8, U9, U10 age groups. We have also welcomed an additional squad since the season began.
We would like to thank the competing teams; Hendon United, HMH, North West London Jets, Brondesbury Park Rangers and HGS for their continued support.
An announcement from Manchester Jewish Soccer League Chairman, Paul Rose On Sunday, it’s the biggest league clash of the season so far in the MJSL when Reich host Haroldeans. The Mancunians are second in the table sitting 3 points behind their Merseyside counterparts, but with a game in hand so a home victory would really open up the title race. Form suggests otherwise with the reverse fixture in the cup last week ended up with Haroldeans easily winning 5-0.
An announcement from Maccabi GB Southern Football League Chairman, David Wolff The three leagues are hotting up very nicely. Hendon United Sports seem to be running away with the tide, whilst in Division One Some Salmon are out in front with Borussia Jewdinese close on their heels, with NWL Azzurri short on games but could well be in with a shout. The third division which consists of all the new teams seems to be between Geez Park Rangers and London Ahletico.
There is a full programme of league matches this coming Sunday with a couple of Peter Morrison Trophy matches as well.
Last Sunday the discipline was atrocious. There were several cautions and an unacceptable level of dismissals although only three games were involved. This MUST improve otherwise we will lose match officials and won’t be able to cover games.
The league did participate in the Mental Health One minute project the other week and will as usual be involved in the Yellow Candle Project. It is important that we identify with the Jewish Community.
Enjoy your weekend of football.
