This month’s feature brings you a very interesting leading article on 'sport, community, informal education', written by Maccabi GB’s newly appointed Chief Executive Ashley Lerner. Maccabi GB Vice President Stuart Lustigman receives the Chairman’s Award of Excellence from the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame
The Chairman's Award of Excellence is in recognition of Stuart's 50 years involved with the worldwide Maccabi Movement. Starting in the Maccabi GB Southern Football League in 1968 Stuart went on to become Chairman of Maccabi GB, the European Maccabi Confederation and Vice-Chairman of Maccabi World Union. During that time and beyond Stuart has also participated in many events and programmes including eight Maccabiot.

Fitness, Faith & Feeling Good - Monday 1st-5th February
The Fitness, Faith & Feeling Good festival runs from Monday 1st to Friday 5th February, and platforms a range of approaches to looking after ourselves at home, showcased by diverse partners from across London’s faith and cultural communities. Take part in at-home workouts, mindfulness sessions, and self-reflection activities. Join our informal lunchtime meetup to chat with others about how you are finding lockdown. Meet a panel of community experts for discussion about creating inclusive spaces, and meeting the needs of diverse communities through sport.

An evening in with Gary Lewin - Monday 22nd February
Join us for an exclusive 'evening in' with Gary Lewin. A former physiotherapist for Arsenal, West Ham, England National Football Team and the Maccabi GB Open Squad at Maccabi International Games. Gary will be interviewed by BBC Sports Broadcaster, Rob Nothman. Don’t miss your chance to hear all about Gary's vast career spanning 35 years, including roles as a former physiotherapist for Arsenal, Head of Physiotherapy Services for the FA, Head of the Medical Team at five FIFA World Cup finals, four UEFA European Championship finals and many other roles.

Maccabi GB FIFA 21 Championships
Do you think you have what it takes to be the FIFA 21 Maccabi GB Champion? Following on from the success of the FIFA 20 Tournaments, Maccabi GB are delighted to launch the Maccabi GB FIFA 21 Championship. Using the 85 overall mode to ensure all teams are rated the same, this is your chance to showcase your skills in our latest e-sports competition.

Leadership by Streetwise 2021 
Leadership by Streetwise is a unique Sports Leadership programme delivered by Streetwise and the community's sports provider, Maccabi GB. The programme is accredited by Sports Leaders UK.

Leadership will give you the qualifications and skills needed to lead sports sessions, coach teams and run sporting events, inspiring the community through your passion for sport. Sports Leaders UK's Level 1, 2 and 3 will stand out on your UCAS form and impress future employers.

The Course is open for young people in school years 10 – 13. 

The Leadership by Streetwise programme will run from February to September 2021.

Streetwise Online Safety 2021 
Streetwise are delighted to offer Online Safety sessions for Key stage 1, 2 and 3 and adults. Sessions will empower young people to think about the online world we live in. These interactive sessions promote student participation and create a safe space online for students to have sensitive conversations.
