Maccabi GB launches the Yellow Candle Project 2021
On Wednesday 10th February Maccabi GB launched the Yellow Candle Project 2021, ensuring that on the eve of Yom HaShoah on Wednesday 7th April, the community can continue to commemorate and never forget those that perished in the Holocaust.
Interfaith fitness festival helps people build wellbeing during lockdown An online health and wellbeing festival organised by the Faith & Belief Forum and Maccabi GB has highlighted approaches from different faiths for people to look after themselves from home. The Fitness, Faith & Feeling Good festival, which ran Monday 1st to Friday 5th February, was made up of free online activity sessions run by different partner organisations from across London’s faith communities.
Virtual Jewish Walking Tour of Florence - Sunday 21st February Due to the success of the walking tour scheduled on the 14th February this has now sold old but we are running another on the 21st February. From the ancient ‘Street of the Jews’ near Ponte Vecchio to the actual great Synagogue of 19th century. You are invited to a ‘walk’ through the most significant places in the city where, from the Renaissance to our times, the Jews in Florence have lived, worked and shared community and religious life. A path that with history, curiosity and memories wants to give life to little-known places of the Jewish presence in the city. The Virtual Walking Tour will be led by licensed tour guide Giovanna Bossi Rosenfeld.
