Reigning European Champions look to further success as U18 Futsal is selected

Maccabi GB, in partnership with UJIA and the Jewish Chronicle, is delighted to announce the latest Team Maccabi GB squad to compete at this summer’s European Maccabi Games in Budapest – U18 Boys Futsal.

The Squad, managed by Adam Lustigman and Phil Caplin, have worked through a tough training and match schedule and are ready to retain their European title.

Speaking about squad selection, Lustigman said, “We have extremely talented players, some with invaluable previous International Games experience, and an interesting mix of characters both on and off the court. We know the countries that will provide the biggest challenges at the Games but the squad will be mentally, physically and tactically prepared and as reigning European U18 champions we are confident of further success.”

Speaking about their aims for the squad, Caplin said, “Adam and I are using our past experiences to relay to players and parents the pride of representing Maccabi GB at an International Games, both on the playing front and cultural aspects as well. Spending pre-camp together is a time to reflect on our Jewish Identity as well as further our team bonding before the competition begins.”

The squad is as follows:

Manager: Phil Caplin and Adam Lustigman

Coach: Tamas Gynei

Toby Anthony

Harry Caplin

Josh Davidson

Sammy Garcia

Joey Gold

Eytan  Millan

Josh Morris

Brandon Myers
