HIAS+JCORE

HIAS+JCORE is the leading UK Jewish response to refuge and asylum. Led by our Jewish values and history of compassion, solidarity, responsibility, and partnership, we work for a UK where displaced people can thrive, in a society free from racism.

We work in three key ways towards this goal: advocating, mobilising, and supporting. Our team provides transformative support to refugees, advocates for fairer, more compassionate policy with MPs and decision makers, and offers the Jewish community meaningful pathways to engage with these efforts.

In 2024 we spoke to over 1,200 people, reaching Jewish communities from Brighton to Scotland. We directly supported 42 asylum seeking and refugee young people, providing almost 300 casework interventions, and delivering more than £10,000 in Hardship Fund. And we appeared in the media 21 times, ensuring that the Jewish values case for fairer, more compassionate policy was heard.
