There is no minimum amount to be raised, however this can change depending upon each individual charity. Please be aware that your registration fee goes towards the cost of running the event. It does not go towards your chosen charity or school.
This is a communal charity event and the more money you raise, the more your chosen charity or school will be able to benefit from your participation.
On the registration form you will have to choose a charity or school to run for on the day. There is an expectation that you will actively be fundraising for your chosen charity or school.
You can run for only one charity. We want every charity to maximise the opportunity of receiving sponsorship from your very generous donations.
We have a large list of amazing charities and schools who are all raising money for their vital causes. Please browse through the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run charities/schools list to make your choice.
Maccabi GB works together with Barnet Council Safety Advisory Group, CST and the Metropolitan Police to ensure that the security and safety of the event is of the highest possible standard.
All measures and precautions are taken for the safety of the community. Please note that, for security reasons, everyone will be required to show a wristband to gain entry to the event. Please purchase a spectators’ wristband ahead of the day; this will be posted to you (if you register too late for postage, you will be able to collect your wristband on arrival). You will also be able to register on the day.
We at Maccabi GB take full and extensive measures to ensure the safety of all people in attendance. There will be a First Aid vehicle on the fields during the 5Km & 10Km runs, as well as an area with an ambulance ready for all eventualities on the day inside the Venue. The First Aiders will also be roaming the whole site throughout the event.
There is a meeting point for lost children which is the Registration Hut. Please point this area out to your children upon arrival at the venue. Also, you can direct your children to talk to anyone who is wearing a bright coloured Maccabi GB Community Fun Run STAFF or VOLUNTEER t-shirt.
Water will be provided around the route, at the finish line and in the Family Fun Zone. Though there will be some water stations, we recommend running or walking with your own water bottle. There will also be post run snacks available for all finishers to help get your strength back.
In the case of adverse weather, the organisers will make announcements on the loudspeakers and direct all participants to indoor areas or other parts of the venue.
Lost Children
To help us reunite lost children quickly, please write your mobile number on your child’s running number. If you cannot find your child at any point, please go straight to the Registration Desk located in the Family Fun Zone for assistance or speak with a member of staff in pink T-Shirts.
